HLAA 2018 Convention
HLAA WESTCHESTER CHAPTER CONVENTION GRANT
The Hearing Loss Association of America Westchester Chapter has established an annual HLAA Convention Grant to help defer the expense of an HLAA chapter member who has never attended a National convention. The grant has been made possible from our Walk4Hearing events.
Who is eligible? The grant is available to all current members of the Westchester chapter of the HLAA who has never attended a National HLAA Convention in the past. The applicant must also be a National member.
Criteria for application: Anyone who has not previously attended a convention is eligible but they must file an application. The applicant does not have to be a new member, however, priority will be given to renewed members. Applicants can apply every year but once applicant receives grant they cannot apply again.
Value of the grant: The $750.00 grant covers the early bird full activity package registration fee that includes the banquet and awards breakfast and three (3) nights at the host hotel. The grantee would be responsible for all additional expenses such as meals, transportation and other travel incidentals. The grantee must attend the Convention or return the $750.
Submission Date: Applications may be mailed, emailed or faxed. Deadline for receipt is January 15th in order eligible to register for the early bird first timer registration fee. Applicants received after January 15th will still be considered but the grantee will be responsible for the difference in the registration fee. No applications will accepted after March 31st. For fill-out an application is January 15, 2018 .
Award Announcement: The selection of the grant recipient would be announced no later than April 30th of each year. The HLAA Westchester Chapter will inform the recipient by mail as well as arrange for the delivery of the check.
